Christmas Inspo - The White Company, Rose & Grey

Two of my favourite home ware stores + the festive season = HELL YES.
If I could kit out my home with just these two I would, I'm a scandi chic type of girl when it comes to interior design and white would be a major topic. Keeping things simple but with a touch of elegance.

Nails of the Week- Berry Cosmo

Moving on from Octobers black and glitter, I stumbled upon this lovely gem at Barry M called Berry Cosmo.
It's a lovely cool toned purple and looks great with autumnal knitwear, or even a LBD.  I'm getting rather attached to the colour so much that I'm not looking forward to those in your face spring colours next year, leave me in my gothic corner alone with this one.

Nextmas Wishlist

Did I hear somebody say "If you could have 10 items from NEXT what would they be"?

Here is my top 10 wish list from NEXT.CO.UK

Set Of 3 Silver Crackle Effect Tealight Holders
I'm a sucker for silver flecked bottles/candle holders and ornaments, so this is definitely going on my Christmas list!

Toulouse Large Sofa in Tonal Blend Grey Mid
I'm too broke to afford a new sofa, but if I could this is what I would buy.

High Back Sandals
Who doesn't love a pair of coloured sandals?

Zip Top Clutch Bag
This gorgeous clutch is a lovely festive red, but one that will work throughout the year as well.

Maxi Cardigan
All things soft and warming, I need them!

Grey Faux Mohair Throw
Can you see the colour theme here?

Pewter Twigs Wallpaper

I think this would look lovely in a living room.

Snoopy Nightshirt

I'm a huge fan of Snoopy, I already have a Snoopy nightie... but one more wont hurt will it?

Leather Strap Watch

I haven't worn a watch in years and the site has a few really nice looking watches, I'd go for this one.

ASOS Winter Wish List

NAILS OF THE DAY: Witchy Sparkle

As you may have noticed summer has been and gone, we're (us girls anyway) putting away our worn to death shorts and swapping them for our favourite winter coat. Those autumnal colours are rising to the surface once again. Goodbye candy corals, garish green and hello pomegranates and plums!

This also applies to nail varnish, as all summer I've been coating my talons with the peachiest colours on the market with the odd hint of neon, so on my lunch break last week I stopped off at my local Boots and had a browse. Now when it comes to Barry M I'd like to think I'm well acquainted but when it comes to Maybelline varnish I am a bit of a newbie, I had previously bought a neon pink from the Colour Show collection and wanted to try more.
I was fixated on one of their bottles of black, gothic, about as emo as you can get black varnish. Why not relive your emo days eh?
As I love a bit of glitter who was I to turn to but Barry M? I found a lovely bottle of dark multi coloured glitter and would hope to team it with my black...

ROUGE EDITION

On Sunday I bought (a bit late) the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Ole Flamingo!
So I think you can guess that I love it considering I'm writing about it two days on...
It's liquid lipstick in simple, pretty packaging and it does not budge. As I've been taking photographs and composing this post I've eaten a sandwich, had a cup of tea and brushed my teeth, yeah there were the odd smudge onto the bread but not half as much as normal lipsticks (excluding the stay put ones).
I chose this particular shade because to be quite honest I can't stop buying coral, pink and magenta things lately, it was a toss up between classic red or this... Oh I should mention that it's a matte finish so if you have dry/cracked lips you may want to give your lips a good moisturise before you go buying this.

I will definitely be buying more of these, I've got my eye on another already!
I should also mention, my camera really hasn't done the colour justice, it's very very bright pink!

Tip Tuesday: Eyeliner Dilema

I don't know about you but I have a love/hate relationship with my eyeliner, always TOO much and wonky or not enough and when correcting I bugger it up.
There are the rare days where it goes "ok' and looks 'alright', in the end it really does come down to a steady hand and practise, practise, PRACTISE!

My one tip for an almost perfect line, whichever way you wear it, is to always keep a few cotton buds handy. Forget the eye make-up remover, pop it in your mouth and sweep away any stray lines or bumps and give it smooth out.

The Perfect Sunday Soaker

After many years of being a fan girl of this product I believe I can safely put it on my all time favourite bath products list.

This is The Comforter from Lush.

If you are an avid Lush lover you will probably have seen/bought/used this delightful gem before, I know the ever popular Youtuber Elle Fowler is a big fan of this product too.
The Comforter is what Lush call a "bubble bar", you break off as much of this as you require and crumble it under running bathwater, creating lots of candy scented bubble.

This product smells so devine, it's so sweet and sugary ( if you could you know you'd eat it) it's like being surrounded by bubbles made of candy floss.
Whenever you're feeling pongy or stressed out , get one of these in the bath and chill the hell out... and feel like a kid in a sweet shop!

If you have doubts, I highly suggest going into your nearest Lush store and have a look, SO WORTH IT.

Big "Chubby" Boo-Hoo!

I recently bought the latest copy of Glamour magazine, very much swayed by the free Clinique product included. I bagged my self a miniature Chubby Stick in the shade Super Strawberry, I have wanted to buy one of these for a while and to much dismay, it is far from "super"
I'm a bit of a lip balm connoisseur and this really didn't hit the standards I would expect from such a well loved brand, irritating would be the best way to describe the texture of the balm, I felt so relieved wiping it off my lips as it felt cheap and tacky, it's "moisturising" in a greasy sense. As for the colour, I do like the fact that they say it's a balm and mean it, this is no full on, opaque lippy to paint the town with and not have to re-apply all night, you can go from the ' just bitten' look to translucent berry. The packaging is lovely, simple and looks very enticing but this product doesn't feel comfortable on, which is a shame.
Would it help for a little fruity aroma?

Apparently not, now I have never seen a full sized version of the Chubby Stick so correct me if I'm wrong, but if Clinique hopes to cash in on a few more sales from it's exposure in Glamour it has really gone down the 'let's cut costs and skip a few of the important bits' and I wont be buying one.
